Funeral services for Irene Herdt will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.Irene Herdt, age 69, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Irene E. Herdt was born on May 1, 1938 in Crosby, North Dakota the daughter of Carl and Nora (Ouren) Lund. She was raised and educated in Crosby. Irene was former member of the ladies auxiliary of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. She enjoyed traveling to see the Grand Canyon and the Grand Ole Opry. Irene took many trips to Las Vegas and Deadwood with her daughters. She enjoyed playing the slot machines the best. Irene liked to dance and bowl in her earlier years. Her pride and joy was her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed some good practical jokes with her family. Irene worked in the restaurant business most of her life, doing jobs such as assistant manager, cook, waitress and barmaid. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Irene is survived by her sons: Michael Herdt and Gary Herdt both of Gillette; daughters: Diane (Joseph) Raley, Nancy Koch and Gail Herdt all of Gillette, Wyoming; brother, Chester (Noreen) Lund of Williston, North Dakota; six grandchildren: Joshua Koch, Jannele Herdt, Ember Licht, Jerred Koch, Heather Rohbach and Christopher Herdt; great grandchildren: Serenity Koch, Krista Reed and Kaydn Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Clarice Hagen and her brother, Glen Lund.
