Carol Silbaugh

Funeral service for Carol Silbaugh will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Family Life Church with Barrett Norris officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Walker Funeral Home. Private Cremation Service will take place at a later date. Carol Silbaugh, age 50, passed away with her family and friends at her side on Tuesday evening, October 9, 2007 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.Carol was born on July 17, 1957 the daughter of Calvin and Barbara (Wentz) Rodgers in Riverton, Wyoming. As a young girl, Carol moved with her family to various construction sites and would attend the local schools. Carol graduated high school in 1975 in Middleton, Idaho. Shortly after graduating she moved to Gillette, Wyoming where she met and married Larry Cross and they had a daughter and a son. They later divorced. Carol met and married Victor Silbaugh they later divorced. Carol was employed for ten years with Freund Construction in Gillette. She was currently working at ELM Locating. Besides being a workaholic in her spare time she enjoyed her time spent with family, friends and her boyfriend of nine years, Bill. Carol?s hobbies included bowling, darts, horseshoes and golf. Carol and her best friend, Shirley Rossiter, were like sisters. They were always together. A friend of Carol's says Carol never knew a stranger; she had the gift of gab and was never at a loss for words. Her quick wit always brought a smile or laugh to her friends, acquaintances or whoever happened to be around. You had a sincere and loyal friend if you were among the many lucky enough to have Carol as a friend. She loved hummingbirds, the color purple and Coors Light, not in that particular order, but the love of her life was Bill. Carol is survived by her boyfriend of nine years, Bill Lavelle, her daughter Frisbee (Chris) Roberts and two granddaughters, Karlie and Raylin Roberts all of Gillette, Wyoming, her son, Jason Cross (Veronica Rothacher) of Burbank, California, her mother, Barbara Wentz and step-father Jack Wentz of Caldwell, Idaho, her father Calvin Rodgers and stepmother, Violet Rodgers of Shoshoni, Wyoming, her brothers, Dick (Marilynn) Rodgers, Mike (Mary) Rodgers, Richard Rodgers all of Gillette, Wyoming, Bob Tuning of Boise, Idaho, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many close friends.A memorial has been established in Carol's name.
