Memorial service for Gerald "Gerry" Edward Decker will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gordon Harper of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church officiating.Gerald Edward Decker died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at his home in Gillette, WY of natural causes. He was 63 years old.Gerald Decker was born in Monona, Iowa on August 8, 1944 the son of Ernest and Cora (Smith) Decker. He was raised and educated in Iowa. As a young man he moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Throughout Wyoming, Gerry worked in the oilfields in various positions including being a driller. His hobbies included fishing, baking and cooking his own foods from scratch.Gerald is survived by his four sons George Decker of Gillette, Jerry Decker of Gillette, David Decker of Iowa and James Decker of Iowa, one daughter Diane Decker also of Iowa, his siblings George, Avis, Burnetta, Maureen, Geraldine, and Annabelle all of Iowa.Gerald is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Ernest and his sister Helen.A memorial has been established in Gerry's name and condolences can be sent in his name to: Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Ct, Gillette, WY 82716 or via the internet at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com.
