Memorial services for Robert Veatch will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Orvile Holden officiating. Robert Dean Veatch, age 69, of Gillette, Wyoming went home to heaven on Thursday, September 13, 2007 due to complications of cancer.Mr. Veatch was born on January 3, 1938 the son of Simeon and Clarice (Reed) Veatch in Billings, Montana. He was raised and educated in Billings, graduating from Billings High School. Upon graduation he entered the Naval Reserves where he served active duty in San Diego on the USS Philippine until it was decommissioned and then served on the Yorktown. Bob was honorably discharged in 1961. He married Barbara ?Bobbie? Bearley on November 15, 1970 in Fallon, Montana. The couple lived in Eastern Montana until 1979 when they came to Gillette, Wyoming where most recently Bob worked for Kissack Water and Oil until he was diagnosed with cancer three weeks ago. Bob was a devoted horse lover breaking and training horses was his passion. He was active in the First Assembly of God Church. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, and traveling with his wife all over the Western United States. Bob is survived by his wife; children: Buddy Keehn and Seth Keehn both of Billings, Montana, Heather (Stephen) Draper of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Kahleaha (Curtis) Malone, Jesse Veatch, Nathan Veatch and Serena Veatch all of Gillette, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Art Veatch and Kent Veatch both of Billings, Montana; and sister, Darlene Robinson of Renton, Washington.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorials are suggested to benefit Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
