A memorial service for Timothy Bart Phillips of Gillette, WY will be on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Gillette with Peggy Brown officiating. A memorial service will be held in Colorado at a later date.Timothy Phillips died Monday, September 10, 2007 in a motorcycle accident on Little Powder River Road. He was 47 years old.Tim was born October 19, 1959 in Perryton, TX to Bob and Mary (Bice) Phillips. As a young boy he moved with his family to Gillette and attended Campbell County Schools. He played football for Campbell County High School and was involved in the construction of Humphrey the Camel, the mascot for the high school.Being a father and great friend he enjoyed the time he spent with his children and closest friends. Music was a great passion in his life along with the motorcycle he died riding. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. For most of his working life he was a driller in the oil industry and was currently employed by Wyoming Casings.Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Phillips, and brother, Paul Phillips.He is survived by his four children Aimee, Jonathan, Peter and Daniel of Broomfield, CO, his parents Bob and Mary Phillips of McAllen, TX, his brother Bill Phillips of Gillette, his sister Kali Dobson of Reno, NV, and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name and donations can be made to The Phillips Family Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
