Funeral service for Stella Fern Brown will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bessie Wiggs of the Lighthouse Church of God of Prophesy of Laurel, Montana officiating. Burial will follow at the Gillette-Mount Pisgah CemeteryVisitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Walker Funeral Home. Fern Brown passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. She was sixty years old.Stella Fern Brown known to her family and friends as Fern was born on March 5, 1947 to Cecil S. and Dorothy J. (Beaman ) Manous in Gillette, Wyoming. Fern was a lifetime resident of Campbell County and attended schools in the Gillette area. As a young girl she was a member of the Wyoming Boys and Girls 4H Club. For a short time she did reside in Sheridan, Wyoming returning to Gillette to be closer to her family. Fern was a homemaker and a mother that spent her time with her only daughter Starla. She was a wonderful mother and took an active interest in her grandchildren's activities and sports.Her life revolved around her daughter and her grandchildren. Fern was an avid crafts person which included crocheting, embroidery, painting and sewing. Fern collected figurines or anything the eagle motif on it. Harley Davidson motorcycles were a passion with her also. When Fern would ride her scooter all over town she was always waving and talking to anyone. When she was not doing crafts or spending time with family she loved to play piano.Fern is survived by her daughter, Starla Manous Reynolds and son in law Chris Reynolds, her mother, Dorothy J. Manous, one brother Earl Manous, one sister Glenda Martin and four grandchildren all of Gillette, Wyoming.She was preceded in death by her father Cecil Manous and one sister Ruth Shelstad.A memorial has been established in Fern's name to benefitMemorials and/or condolences may be sent to the Walker Funeral Home 410 Medical Arts Court Gillette, Wyoming or via the website www.walkerfuneralgillette.com.
