She was the first of three children. Alice came to Wyoming when she was three years old and spent most of her early years in "The Little Snake River Valley". Alice married Alan H. Leger, Sr. and they had five children. Alan passed away in 1956 leaving her to raise the children alone. Making a living for a family proved to be difficult for a woman in the Snake River Valley, so Alice moved the family to Rawlins, Wyoming. She often worked two jobs to keep the family fed and sheltered. Alice later married Charles J. Langenderfer. Working together they raised a wonderful family. She taught her children how to work and how to enjoy life. She was a life-long gardener, made beautiful flower bouquets for her church and much of her children?s and grandchildren's clothing, including formals and wedding gowns. Alice was a woman greatly loved by family and friends. She was a generous person who deeply loved her family. She stood strong for what she believed and left a legacy of strength and compassion.Alice is survived by her dear husband, Charles Langenderfer of Moorcroft, Wyoming; six children: Karen (Donald) Weeks of Basin, Wyoming, Howard Leger of Gakona, Arkansas, Judy (Mike) Shelton of Gakona, Arkansas, Sandra (James) Lassle of Sturgis, South Dakota, Terry (Gary) Williams of Gillette, Wyoming, and Penny (Steven) Noakes of Moorcroft, Wyoming; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.Memorials are suggested to benefit the City of Moorcroft for beautification.
