Herbert Morgan

A private family service was held for Herbert Morgan. Cremation has taken place per Herbert's wishes. Interment will be at a later date in the Sheridan Cemetery. Mr. Morgan, age 72, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.Herbert Morgan was born on December 15, 1934 in Sheridan, Wyoming the son of Harold and Myrtle (Guy) Morgan. He attended schools in Sheridan. During his school years he helped on the family ranch and went on to be a rancher and a bareback rider in rodeos. On July 31, 1954 Herbert married Ila Scott and they had two sons, they later divorced. On May 16, 1958 Herbert married Audrey Maxine Leech. They were married for 40 years until her passing in 1998. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming in the early 1960?s and started a contract pumping business and also ranched. Herbert also held several other odd jobs over the years. He loved horses, ranching, and being outdoors.Herbert is survived by his sons: Herb and Tim Onka both of Sheridan, Wyoming; 2 step children: Joyce Iroz and Jim Senff both of Gillette, Wyoming; brothers John Morgan of Greybull, Wyoming and Dave Morgan of Buffalo, Wyoming; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 3 brothers.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Herbert's name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
