Mass of Christian Burial for Frances "Fran" Pilgrim will be at 10 am Friday, August 10, 2007 at St Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Cliff Jacobson as Celebrant.Fran Pilgrim, age 60, died Monday August 6, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Frances Anne Pilgrim was born November 30, 1946 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Vincent Drew and Mildred Grace (Johnson) Pilgrim. Fran was raised in Springfield, Ill and was graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. She worked for Illinois Bell then moved to Hinton, Alberta, Canada where she married Klaus Steingrube on May 13, 1967. In 1977 they moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 2001 because of her husband's work.Fran had a strong passion for reading a broad range of books, and was also a lifelong New York Yankees fan. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She grew up traveling the east coast and Canada. Fran is survived by her husband Klaus Steingrube of Gillette, her sons Alex Steingrube of Ft. Collins, CO, Bernie Steingrube of Gillette, WY and Lieutenant Christopher Steingrube, USN aboard the USS Benfold at San Diego CA; her daughters Laura Sorrell of Thornton, CO and Andrea Steingrube of Highlands Ranch, CO; her sisters Mary Lucinda Cooper of New Orleans, LA; and Laura Jean Pilgrim of Miami Springs, FL; and her eight grandchildren. Fran was preceded in death by her parents and sister Honora May Rieth.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Defenders of Wildlife Wolf Fund.
