Services for Marty Mosher age 67 of Gillette will be held at a later date in Montrose, Colorado. Mr. Mosher died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Upon his wishes cremation has taken place.Martin Elvin Mosher, known to family and friends as ?Marty? was born April 27, 1940 in Uravan, Colorado. He was the son of Peter and Mildred (Etzler) Mosher. He was raised and educated in Uravan. Marty continued to live in Uravan and started working at a young age and eventually started work in the area uranium mines.Marty married Patricia Turvey on March 19, 1967 in Eckley, Colorado. The couple then moved to Gillette where they made their home. Marty came to work in the oilfields and realized it was not for him and decided to begin his own business. Marty began Marty?s Mobile Home Service which he owned and operated for 25 years along with the many rentals he owned.Marty loved to hunt, camp, and fish when time allowed, which never seemed to be as often as he?d like. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and singing. After his stroke his wife, Pat, would often accompany him on the piano as he sang along. He also enjoyed an occasional card game.Marty is survived be his wife of 40 years, Patricia Mosher of Gillette, daughter Lana Mosher of Aurora, CO, adopted son Jon Gillespie of Gillette, three sisters Vi Belveal of Montrose, CO, Gladys Lankard of Stevensville, TX, Betty Shreck of Ft. Worth, TX, and brother Joseph McCartney of Stevensville, TX.Marty is preceded in death by his parents, two sons Lonnie Mosher and Kelly Mosher, and two sisters Dorothy Twite and Effie Starbuck.Memorials are suggested in Marty?s name to benefit the CCMH Dialysis Center.
