Funeral services for Tim ?Toby? Tyler of Pine Haven will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Pine Haven, Wyoming, with Pastor Joseph Spencer, Treasured Memories Hospice Chaplain officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Haven Cemetery in Pine Haven, Wyoming. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Tim Tyler, age 55, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at his home in Pine Haven from cancer. Timothy Donald, known affectionately to many as Toby, was born on November 15, 1951 in Moorhead, Minnesota the son of Donald and Ida (Myers) Tyler. He was raised and educated in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1969. After his graduation Tim attended Moorhead Technical Institute and received his certificate for HVAC. He began his career in Rapid City, South Dakota working for Church Sheet Metal. He married Kandy Garvey in 1973. In 1974 the couple moved to Gillette when Tim accepted a job offer at Gambles Hardware. Here is where they started their family and raised their two boys: Brandon and Nicholas. Tim held various jobs working for Sheesley?s, Coca Cola, Landmark and Wolf?s Plumbing and Heating. Tim and Kandy divorced in 1992. It was then Tim moved to Pine Haven, Wyoming where he met his longtime friend and companion of fourteen years, Betty Bowersox. In 2000 Tim became disabled due to his health. One of Tim?s favorite pastimes was logging on Pine Ridge. Hunting and fishing with his sons was one of the great joys of his life. He was a true outdoorsmen and was most in his element when in the mountains or with nature. Tim was a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan. Tim is survived by his sons: Brandon Tyler of Vista, California and Nick Tyler of Gillette, Wyoming; his mother Ida Tyler of Moorhead, Minnesota; brother Ron Tyler of Bismarck, North Dakota ; longtime friend and companion Betty Bowersox of Pine Haven Wyoming; neice and nephew: Hillary and Elliott Tyler. He was preceded in death by his father.
