Erma Clark was born on September 18, 19 33 at her home in Kit Carson County, Colorado the daughter of Curtis and Edith (Andrews) Lightle. She was raised on a farm in Northeastern Colorado. Erma was one of the oldest of fifteen children who discovered at an early age her love for children while helping with the care of her younger siblings. Therefore it came as no surprise that she chose child care as a career. Her love for children of all ages was witnessed by all that knew her including most of the Yuma District Hospital nursing staff in Yuma, Colorado. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Erma?s love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was equally apparent to all who knew her. It was rare to visit her house when children were not present. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and her favorite hobby was her love for gardening since she had a green thumb that would result in a great harvest. Erma is survived by her children: Joyce (Darrel) Zwirn of Gillette, Wyoming, Mike (Donna) Kirkendall of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Christine (Roger) Dresen of Yuma, Colorado; eight grandchildren: Dawn (Steve) Gentry, Malisa (Danny) Williams, Jason (J.D.)
