Funeral services for Gladys (Ealy) Thomas will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Morel officiating from the Family Life Church. Burial will follow in Green Mountain Cemetery in Sundance, Wyoming. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming.Gladys Thomas, age 86, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Monday, May 14, 2007 in Thermopolis, Wyoming of natural causes.Mrs. Thomas was born on October 14, 1920 the daughter of Albert and Ada (Ferguson) Hockett in Wall, South Dakota. She graduated from Sundance High School in 1938. Gladys worked for the County Superintendent for a short time and then married Murel Ealy on December 15, 1938. The couple lived on the family ranch until 1957 and then later moved to Gillette, Wyoming where they raised their three children. Murel passed away in June of 1991. Gladys married Larry Thomas in March of 1992. The couple lived in Gillette until May of 2006 when they moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming due to health reasons. Gladys is survived by her husband, Larry Thomas of Thermopolis, Wyoming; son, Butch (Thelma) Ealy of Gillette, Wyoming; sister, Alice Hopkins of Gillette, Wyoming; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Murel; parents; 2 daughters, Sandra and Shirley; brother, Weslie; sister, Margaret, and great grandson, Marshall.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Gladys?s name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
