Funeral services for Carol Lynn Tanner will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church.Carol Tanner, age 31, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 12, 2007.Carol was born on December 29, 1975 in Sheridan, Wyoming the daughter of Martha (Rodda) Tanner and Larry Tanner. She was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Carol graduated from Campbell County High School in 1996. She enjoyed working at the Children?s Developmental Services of Campbell County as a classroom aide for the last 12 years. Carol also had been an employee of Hardee?s for 13 years. Her favorite activities were Special Olympics, writing in her journal and spending time with family and friends. Carol loved being an active member in her church. She also helped teach midweek and VBS classes. Her favorite football team was the Denver Broncos and she loved the Campbell County High School Camels.Carol is survived by her mother, Martha Tanner of Gillette, Wyoming; father, Larry Tanner of Farmington, New Mexico; brothers: Doug (Pam ?sister Pam?) of New London, Minnesota, and Mike Tanner of Gillette, Wyoming; nephew and niece: Matt and Amanda Tanner of New London, Minnesota; extended family, Lois ?my Lois? Casey, Susan Duwenhoegger, Dustin, Brenda, Brooke, Bridget Cargal & Kayla Tonn; uncle, Les Tanner of Green River, Wyoming; aunt, Bev Surrency of Cheyenne, Wyoming; great uncle and aunt, John and Evelyn Morris of Ortonville, Minnesota, and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Irvin and Toni Rodda and paternal grandparents, Art Tanner and Vera Britton and aunt Barbara Pansch.Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics Gillette Masters or Trinity Lutheran Church.
