Memorial services for Betty Lee Cunningham will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Mrs. Cunningham, age 76 of Gillette, Wyoming died on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at her home of natural causes.Betty Cunningham was born on June 11, 1930 in Huntington, California the daughter of Orville and Cynthia (Mosby) Brandenburg. In 1936 she started 1st grade in Lance Creek, Wyoming, then the family moved to Belfry, Montana where Betty attended the 3rd grade. In 1940 her family moved to Redondo Beach, California where she graduated from Redondo Beach High School. She moved to Wauneta, Nebraska, and then to Newcastle, Wyoming where she met and married Bill Cunningham on January 23, 1953, the couple moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming. To this union 2 son?s were born, Bill and Kip Cunningham. Betty and Bill moved their family to Gillette, Wyoming and then down to Rawlins, Wyoming where Bill passed away in 1973. Betty moved back to Moorcroft in 1976 where she raised and educated both of her sons. She moved in 1984 to Gillette where she worked for Granny?s East and then in 1986 she went to work for K-Mart at the old store. Betty retired in December of 1996 after working for K-Mart for 10 years. Betty bowled on a league since 1962 in Moorcroft and went to the state tournaments and went to the nationals for 29 years all over the United States. She was put in the Hall of Fame in 1988. Betty also coached children to bowl in Moorcroft and Gillette. She will be missed by her family and friends.Betty is survived by her son?s: Bill (Lisa) Cunningham of Kaycee, Wyoming and Kip (Jamie) Cunning ham of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister, Dona (Robert) Roush of Gillette, Wyoming; brother, Allen Brandenburg of Gillette, Wyoming; and 5 grandchildren: Keeli, Dane, Jordan, Brodie, and Jensen Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.In lieu of flowers the family has suggested a memorial to benefit the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit.
