Funeral services for Susie Williams will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Minister Richard Williams of Port Ludlow, Washington officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Mrs. Williams, age 74, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Susie Mae was born on November 15, 1932 in Seymour, Texas the daughter of Tat and Lillie (Watts) Copeland. She was raised and educated in Seymour. Susie worked hard at whatever she did, be it at her job, gardening or playing with her grandchildren. Susie spent most of her life working as a clerk in the retail business. Strong and independent, she was a single mother raising her 6 children in West Texas. In 1978 Susie came to Gillette to be near her now grown children. In 1996 she retired from K-Mart. In retirement Susie spent much of her time in her yard, where she loved to watch her vegetables and flowers grow. She was a great cook often using the produce from her garden for family get togethers. Susie was a loving and caring person who valued her family and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Susie loved the many dogs she had over the years and watching the birds on the feeders she had in her yard. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, which were her favorite, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. Susie is survived by her children: Darline Neugebauer, Diane Williams, Vicky Dearing, Johnny Williams, Carrie Crump all of Gillette, Wyoming and Richard Williams of Port Ludlow, Washington; sisters: Viola Marie Barron, Katherine Miller, Roberta Bradley all of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Charlie Francis Copeland of New Liberia, Louisiana; 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 2 brothers 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
