Michael Matteson

Funeral service for Michael Eugene Matteson, of Gillette, will be Wednesday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to service. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Michael Matteson age 51, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming of cardiac failure. Michael was born on June 5, 1955 in Buffalo Wyoming, the son of Leslie C. and A. Nadine(Allen) Matteson. He enjoyed skiing, fishing and camping in the Big Horns. His greatest joy was music and gathering with friends to play in ?Jam?. He was active in High School sports playing football. He worked in road, electrical and concrete construction in Sheridan, Buffalo and Gillette, Wyoming until he was hired by US West Communication where he worked for 25 years in Sheridan and Gillette. He retired due to health issues in 2006. Michael is survived by his parents Leslie C. and A. Nadine Matteson of Buffalo Wyoming, son Brendan M. Matteson of Gillette Wyoming, and daughters Erin N. Matte and Krista B. Matteson of Gillette Wyoming, Brittany A. Matteson of Minnesota; brother Everett L. Matteson, sister Terrill E. Matteson of Sheridan Wyoming; 3 grandchildren, aunt Naomi Taylor of Sheridan, Wyoming, and eight nephews all of Sheridan Wyoming. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Nellie & Leslie Matteson Sr. of Buffalo, Wyoming; grandparents Emily & Everett Allen of Sheridan, Wyoming; and an infant sister Verline J. Matteson.
