Funeral services for Johnnie Ray Scoggins will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Firminhac and Pastor Jared Tucher officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2007. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #42.Johnnie Scoggins, age 54, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at his home.John was born on June 17, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Ed and Elaine (Patterson) Scroggins. He graduated from Campbell County High School in 1970. Ray entered the United States Air Force on March 9, 1971. He was transferred to Anchorage, Alaska where he fell in love with Sharon Lynn Watson. The couple were married on February 25, 1973. They had a son, Travis born on October 5, 1974 and their daughter, Miranda who was born on April 28, 1977. Johnnie and Sharon moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1978. He worked at Foundation Coal at the Eagle Butte Coal Mine for the last 26 years. John loved to go fishing, watching football, and listening to music with his wife Sharon. He loved to work in his yard and landscaping. Most of all John loved spending time with his granddaughters and family, he thought the world of them. His eyes would light up every time he seen his grandbaby?s. We are going to all miss you very much. Rest in peace and in heaven you will never be forgotten.Johnnie is survived by his wife, Sharon; mother, Elaine Scoggins of Gillette, Wyoming; son, Travis (Julie) Scroggins of Duluth, Minnesota; daughter, Miranda (Chris) Lull of Big Horn, Wyoming; granddaughters, Brittini Shea Lull, Hollie Kaye Lull both of Big Horn, Wyoming and Victoria Raye Scroggins of Duluth, Minnesota; and 2 sisters, Shirley (Earl) Manous of Gillette, Wyoming and Diane (John) Toolen of Wright, Wyoming, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.He joined his father, Ed Scroggins; mother and father-in-law, June and Fred Watson; brother, Jay Scroggins; sister, Debbie Scroggins; and sister-in-law, Diane Watson in heaven.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Johnnie?s name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
