Memorial service for Shirley Cutler will be held at 6:30 P.M. on February 1, 2007 at Grace Bible Church with Pastor Daryl Hilbert officiating. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette is entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Cutler, age 76, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, January 29, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Shirley A. Cutler was born on May 29, 1930 in Reading, Pennsylvania the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Boyer) Brown. She was raised and educated in Reading. Upon her schooling, she began working as a seamstress for Camp Industries, a job she kept for many years. Shirley was hard working, often holding down two jobs, doing what she needed to raise her 2 children as a single mother. On June 23, 1972 Shirley married Ron Cutler in Elkton, Maryland. The couple resided in Reading until moving to Douglas, Wyoming for Ron?s job at the uranium mine in 1978. In 1980, he was transferred and the couple came to Gillette, Wyoming where they have lived since. Shirley was a great seamstress and made most of her own clothes as well as dresses for her daughter and the children?s toys. She enjoyed crocheting, making many beautiful afghans. Shirley loved to hunt and fish with her husband; she was also on a bowling league in Gillette and had made several trips to national competitions, competing individually as well as in the mixed doubles with Ron. Shirley is survived by her husband, Ron Cutler; son, Daryl Hilbert and his wife Darlene all of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Sheryle Fisher and husband John of Reading, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer, Zachary, Caleb, Tyrell and Danielle; 4 great grandchildren and sister Evelyn Reider of Reading, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jane Shade.
