Mrs. Grigsby, age 88, of Gillette, Wyoming went home to rest with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Monday, January 8, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.Ann Mae was born on November 8, 1918 in Elsberry, Missouri the daughter of Archie and Madge (Neal) Snarr. She was raised and educated in Missouri. After Ann started her family, she moved to Livingston, MT to work at Yellowstone Park. There she cooked for the rangers a job she very much loved. While in Yellowstone Ann enjoyed the wildlife and her sweet personality shone through to them as well, because she always had some critter hanging around her home. In the early 1960?s she moved to Whitehall where she built her own log cabin mostly by her own hand. The fireplace in the center of her home was a beautiful reflection of her work she had gathered and carried the rocks that served as the mantle. Ann worked at the Boulder School continuing to do what she did best, cooking. Homemade bread was her specialty. In 1997 she was persuaded by her grandson to move to Gillette, Wyoming where she has resided since. Her hobbies included carving wood, camping, and fishing, reading books and watching the Animal channel. She loved spending time with her grandson, Mike and his family. Ann was baptized last year and was a member of the Antelope Valley Baptist Church in Gillette. She is survived by her daughter, Dori Driver of Montebello, California; grandson, Mike Grigsby and wife Bev; great granddaughter, Jennifer and her husband A.J. Marker and great-great-granddaughter, Keeli all of Gillette. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Olma.
