Visitation for Zelma Rosalene Bell will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming. Zelma Bell, age 83, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of a stroke. Zelma Rosalene Bell was born on September 3, 1923 to Jesse Odell and Sarah (Ramalia) Fritts in Rich Hill, Missouri. She attended country school in Vernon County Missouri. Zelma married Weslie Poulter on June 24, 1938 in Bates County Missouri. They had five children together and later divorced. Zelma married Raymond Bell on February 3, 1961 in El Dorado, Kansas where they made their home until 1970 when they moved the family to Gillette, Wyoming. She spent her early married life as a homemaker and later worked outside of the home as a cook and housekeeper for many families in Gillette. Zelma loved house plants especially African Violets. She collected salt and pepper shakers, owl figurines and dolls. Her special companion was her poodle, Rusty. Zelma is survived by her husband, Ray Bell of Gillette, Wyoming; son, James (Wanda) Poulter of Latham, Kansas; daughters, Gracie (Larry) Walter of Gillette, Wyoming, Judy (Lonnie) Lawrence of Leon, Kansas; sister; Margaret Watson of Rich Hill, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
