Funeral services for Dorothy Louise Swing will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.Mrs. Swing, age 75, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a long battle with emphysema.She was born on March 19, 1931 in Manderson, Wyoming the daughter of Antone and Martha (Pederson) Nelson. She graduated from Worland Senior High School in 1949. On January 16, 1967 she married David Jacob Swing in Worland, Wyoming. For most of Dorothy?s career she worked as a grocery clerk at Jon?s IGA in Worland. In 1990 Dorothy and David moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be with their family, where she worked at Woodward?s IGA until her retirement in. She was a wonderful cook and loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed the holidays, camping and sewing.Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, 4 daughters: Demaris Dishion of Gillette, Wyoming, Carla O?Brien of Glendale, Arizona, Cheryl (Michael) Rideout of Wamsutter, Wyoming, and Mitzi (Jeff) Nordstrom of Cheyenne, Wyoming, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Ronda Johnson, 1 son, John Corbin, 1 sister, Margaret Pearl and 2 brothers: Andrew and Lawrence Nelson.Memorials are suggested to the Campbell County Healthcare foundation to benefit Campbell County Memorial Hospice.
