Evelyn Irwin

Memorial services for Evelyn Irwin will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel in Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. Evelyn Irwin, age 90, died on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette after a long battle with numerous ailments. Evelyn Elizabeth Irwin was born May 13, 1916 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, to Robert and Elizabeth Carlisle. She spent the majority of her life in and around the Adel, Iowa area, where, after her mother?s early death, she helped raise her four brothers, before marring and raising her own seven children. She is survived by her children: Gerry Irwin, John (Mary) Irwin and Eva (Doug) Cook all of Adel, Iowa, Sherryl (Barry) Ratterree of Athens, Georgia, Darrell (Becky) Irwin of Gillette, Wyoming, Jennie (Kenny) Spring of Melrose, Iowa, and Bill (Karen) Irwin of Oak Grove, Minnesota. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur.
