Funeral services for Lloyd G. Viergutz will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joel Wright of the First Presbyterian Church of Gillette officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.Lloyd G. Viergutz passed away on Monday, October 9, 2006 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming following a short illness.Lloyd was born on August 28, 1932 in Spearfish, South Dakota, the youngest of 6 children to Charles C. and Pearl B. (Hood) Viergutz. He married Leta Shumway on November 21, 1959 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. The couple had 5 daughters: Daviett, Deb, Evelyn, Pearl, Jodie and 1 son; Steven. Lloyd and Leta ranched on the family ranch at Aladdin, Wyoming until 1988 when they moved to Belle Fourche. They later moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1999 to be closer to their family. Lloyd took great pleasure in his daughters and his grandchildren and his great grandsons. He could often be seen on warm summer days caring for his beautiful roses and walking up and down the alley. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 47 years, his daughters: Daviett Gray, Deb (Joe) Pettit, Evelyn Viergutz, Pearl Daniello (Craig) Fulk and Jodie Title, his 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandsons, 3 sisters: Reva Eixenberger, Blanche Karinen, and Joan Kiley.He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Pearl Viergutz, 2 brothers: Leonard and Willard Viergutz and infant son Steven.Memorials are suggested to the Diabetic Association or the Shriners Crippled Children Fund.
