Funeral services for June Iris Gingery, age 80, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Christian Church, 100 Flying Circle, Gillette, Wyoming with Rev. Mike Dennis Officiating. Interment will be held in White River Cemetery in White River, South Dakota at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2006. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 10, 2006 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.June passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.June was born in Mellette County, South Dakota, on October 23, 1925 to Louis and Emma (Shouldis) King. She grew up in White River, South Dakota, helping her family raise turkeys and in her father?s cream station. In 1949 she married Curtis Gingery, and they had 3 children. They owned the lumberyard in White River for many years before selling it and purchasing a lumberyard in Kennebec, South Dakota in 1963. In 1971 the family moved to Hill City, South Dakota. In addition to keeping the family home she also worked at various stores in town.In 1990 June and Curtis moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be with their daughter.June is survived by her daughter Ardis of Gillette, Wyoming, 2 sons: Lyle (Barbara) of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jack (Jeanne) of Havre, Montana; 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and 1 great-granddaughter.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother.Memorials and condolences may be sent in June?s name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th St., Gillette, Wyoming or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com
