Funeral services for Jonnie, Francis (Pierce) Fullenwider, age 74, of Gillette, Wyoming, will be held at Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home, Gillette on Thursday, August 10, at 2:00 PM. Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church and Joe Waterhouse will preside. Burial will follow at Mt Pisgah Cemetery.Jonnie was born on March 18, 1932 in Wagner, Oklahoma to Fred and Vera (Beech) Pierce. She died, peacefully, August 7, 2006 in Gillette, Wyoming surrounded by her children and families. Jonnie married Albert Fullenwider in Fort Smith, Arkansas on February 21, 1955. They raised three sons, Stan Fullenwider (Jo Layne) of Vernal Utah, Jim Fullenwider (Denise) of Farmington, New Mexico and Bob Fullenwider (Kim) of Ojai, California along with three daughters, Wanda Murphy (James) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Barb Gulley (Paul) and Nancy Turner (Doug) both of Gillette, Wyoming. The family lived in Rangely, Colorado until 1969 when they moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Upon retirement, Jonnie and Al lived in their Brackettville, Texas home during the winter months. Along with raising her family, Jonnie worked as a bookkeeper in Rangely and Gillette. She retired after working 17 years for Gillette Plumbing and Heating. Jonnie was a member of the D.O.E.S., American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hatters Club in Gillette. She created beautiful, award winning, paintings, mostly landscapes and flowers. Mrs Fullenwider had a wonderful sense of humor and loved spending time playing cards and dominoes, with her children, 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Although she excelled at many things, her greatest work was the love and care she gave to her family. Jonnie is survived by one sister, Rebecca Williams (Guymond) of Claremore, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and five sisters.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Campbell County or Campbell County Senior Center Painting Class.
