Funeral services for Edward Brent will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald Brent of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Mr. Brent, age 49, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at his home of heart failure. Edward Leon Brent was born on November 3, 1956 the son of Walter ?Leon? and Barbara Marie (Davis) Brent in Ada, Oklahoma. As a small child Ed moved with his family to Denver City, Texas where he was raised and educated. Upon his graduation Ed began his 30+ year career in the oilfield sales industry working for such companies as Lubrikup, for his father at L.B. Pump, Trinity Safety, Darcova, Double Valve Ball and Seat, and Precision Hole Down Pumps. In 1983 he moved with long time love Audrey Horyna from Great Bend, Kansas to Gillette, Wyoming. On November 6, 2003 Audrey and Ed married in Lead, South Dakota. Ed recently purchased a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and was looking forward to the many trips and rides that he would take. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, golfing, spending time with his children and family and playing with the family dog ?Dutchess?. Ed had many customers in the Rocky Mountain Area he serviced, leaving him friends all across this region. Ed is survived by his wife, Audrey; son, Michael Leon Brent; daughter, Brenda Marie Davis all of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Jana Brent of Kansas City, Missouri, parents: Leon and Barbara Brent of Deadwood, South Dakota; brother, Jerry Brent of Sheridan, Wyoming and two nephews. He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
