Private family services for Doris Louise Loveday will be held at a later date.Doris Loveday, age 78, of Hemingford, Nebraska died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Doris Louise Coplen was born December 23, 1927 in Clay Center, Nebraska the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Krause) Coplen. When Doris was young the family moved to Hemingford, Nebraska where she was raised and educated. On June 25, 1955 Doris married Johny L. Loveday in Oklahoma. From Oklahoma the family followed the oil field work. On March 23, 1960 their son, Jay, was born. Doris worked as a waitress, bartender and nurses aid, but more than anything she was a happy homemaker. She loved to fish and travel and play bingo in Deadwood. Doris also enjoyed animals, cooking, baking, spending time with her grandchildren and playing pitch with her husband. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge. Doris was a lover and liver of life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.She will be missed by her son, Jay (Cynthia) Loveday of Gillette, Wyoming; 1 brother, Eugene (Rosemary) Coplen of Hemingford, Nebraska and 2 sisters: Norma Wood of Hemingford, Nebraska and Cheryl Taylor of Enders, Nebraska. Doris will also be missed by 3 grandchildren: Zachary Loveday of Gillette, Wyoming, Tami Loveday of Sitka, Alaska and Jay (Mandy) Loveday, Jr., of Gillette, Wyoming and 3 great-grandchildren: Tashanda, Mackenzie and Gabrial Loveday all of Gillette, Wyoming.Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Margaret Deetjen.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Doris? name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th St. Gillette, Wyoming or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com
