A memorial service for Lucille Skinner, age 81, will be held Monday, July 3, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Robert Ball of the Community of Christ. Visitation will be held at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Lucille left this world on Thursday morning, June 29, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.Lucille Skinner was born on October 15, 1924 in Harrison, Michigan to David H. and Eva Marie (Thompson) Bailey. She was the third of four daughters. She attended school in rural Clare County and graduated from Harrison High School in 1942. She married Leo Earl Skinner on June 7, 1942 in Harrison, Michigan. To this union three children were born. Lucille kept books for the family business while living in Michigan and raised her family. They moved the family to Gillette in April of 1974. She enjoyed traveling around the United States with her husband, Leo, sisters, and other family members. Lucille enjoyed all outdoor activities and even managed a ?hole in one? on a couple of occasions. She was an avid gardener, and often canned the bounty from her garden. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles and mastered crypto-quotes. In her later years, she enjoyed planning and cooking family meals for her large family which now included five grandsons, two granddaughters, two great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, Isabella.Lucille is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leo, her daughter, Sandra (Charles) Jossens, and their children, Donnie and Randy Jossens, her son William Skinner and his children, Eric Skinner and Amanda Gorder, all of Gillette, her youngest son, John Michael Skinner (Teresa) of Sheridan and their three children: son John Blaine Skinner of Sheridan, son Blaine (Lisa) Geer and their children (Joey and Karli Geer) all of Gillette, and daughter Tracey Geer (Collin) Scott of Tucson, Arizona.
