Funeral services for Christopher Diehl age 25, of Moorcroft will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Moorcroft Elementary School with Pastor Donavon Voigt of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, from3-7 at the Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft. Stevenson Funeral Home of Gillette has been entrusted with the arrangements.Christopher died Wednesday, June 7, as the result of an automobile accident near Rozet. Christopher James Diehl was born September 17, 1980 in Lemmon, South Dakota the son of James and Kathie (Nelson) Diehl. He attended elementary school in Faith and Wall, South Dakota and Jr. High in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and a short time in Billings, Montana. In 1995 Chris moved to Moorcroft and while in High School worked at Diehl?s Super Market and also at the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. He graduated from Moorcroft High School in 1999. Upon his graduation Chris moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, while working for UPS. Following his schooling in Phoenix Chris moved to Billings where he worked for Ziggy?s Lumber Yard. In August of 2005 Chris returned home to Moorcroft to work with his dad. Chris was currently training to be the meat market manager. Chris was the current President of the Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce, member of the Moorcroft beautification committee and a member of the Keyhole Country Club in Pine Haven. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and camping, playing cards with the guys and just hanging out with family and friends.Christopher, ?The Real Diehl? will be missed most as a wonderful son and caring brother and remembered for his bubbly, fun-loving spirit and love for people. Chris considered his co-workers at the supermarket his family and they will not be missing an employee but a friend instead. Chris is survived by his parents: James and Carmen Diehl of Upton, Wyoming, Kathie Diehl and special family member Jeff Cramer of Billings, Montana; brother, Ryan Diehl of Upton; sister, Ashley Diehl and nephew Mateo of Billings; step-brother Gerald Haynes of San Hose, California; 2 step-sisters: Buffy McMillan; nephews: Andrew and Kade and Jaki (Dan) Gustaf and niece Emma all of Upton; maternal grandfather, Bob Nelson of Billings; paternal grandparents: Ervin and Beverly Diehl of Carson, North Dakota and step grandmother, Elsie Woodard of Osage, Wyoming; as well as several aunts uncles and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Florence Nelson.Memorials in Chris?s name are suggested to the Keyhole Country Club.
