Mass of Christian Burial for Sharon Jodozi will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2006 at St. Matthew?s Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobsen celebrating. Inurnment will be Saturday, June 10 in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. Visitation for Mrs. Jodozi will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel with a vigil ? prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.Mrs. Jodozi, age 65, of Gillette, Wyoming died of cancer at her home on Sunday, June 4, 2006. Sharon Kay Jodozi was born March 15, 1941 in Lucas, South Dakota the daughter of Albert and Emma (Steckman) LaFave. She was raised and educated in South Dakota. Sharon married Pete Jodozi in Oldham, South Dakota on December 19, 1959. The couple traveled for many years with the construction industry. In 1968 the couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming and has made their home here since. As a reflection of Sharon?s love for her family she stayed at home with her children until the youngest was in school. She then began to work part time for Anthony?s Clothing Store and most recently at Gillette Campus through Adecco, a job she very much enjoyed. Sharon raised her children in and recently became a member of St. Matthew?s Catholic Church. She was a member of various charitable organizations where she donated her time or baked goods to organizations, including the baseball, gymnastics, wrestling programs and the American Cancer Society. Her hobbies include bowling, which she did for many years on the local women?s league. Sharon also loved socializing over lunch at the senior center and playing cards while visiting with friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and collecting knick knacks. However, Sharon?s main focus was her family; she loved watching her children play in sporting events and watching her grandchildren grow as well.Sharon will be dearly missed by her husband of 46 years, 2 daughters: Roxanne Casey and her husband, Dan of Denver, CO and Kris Jodozi; 1 son, Jake Jodozi both of Gillette, WY; 4 grandchildren: Corbin and Danielle Jodozi, Amanda and Melissa Casey; 1 sister, Verline Brents of Deadwood, S.D.; 1 brother, G.G. ?Frenchie? LaFave of Kingfisher, OK as well as several nieces and nephews.Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lyla Sperl and brother, Wendell Luke.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Campbell County Healthcare Foundation to benefit Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital or to St. Matthew?s Catholic Church.Memorials and condolences may sent in Sharon?s name in care of Stevenson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th St., Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com
