Doris Hillius

Funeral services for Doris Hillius will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Kenna Rose officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Doris Hillius, age 66, of Pine Haven, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at her home of complications of diabetes.Doris was born on May 9, 1940 to John and Amelia (Bickel) Schaible in Elgin, North Dakota. While going to school Doris also stayed very active in her church. On June 10, 1955 she married Dwayne Hillius. Doris and Dwayne then started raising their family. To that union came 5 children. In 1957 they moved to Lead, South Dakota. Then in 1972 they moved to Gillette and lived there until they moved to Pine Haven in 1994. Doris enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles and was a ?soap-a-holic?. She was very family oriented and loved to cook meals for them all. Doris was a homebody and loved the times when she was surrounded by her family. Doris?s pride and joy was her dog Curly.Doris is survived by her husband; Dwayne of Pine Haven, Wyoming, Daughter Diana Mudge of Gillette, Wyoming, 3 sons: Dennis(Virginia) Hillius, Douglas (Cheryl) Hillius of, Donald (Frances) Hillius all of Gillette, Wyoming, 8 grandchildren: Mike, Chris, Miranda, Sarah, Doug, Justin, Shantell and Ray, 2 brothers: Marvin Schaible of Kirkland, Washington and Dale Schaible of Mandan, North Dakota, 2 sisters: Lorene Seidler of New Leipzig, North Dakota and Ruth Peterson of Two Harbors, Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, son Darrell and a brother Ray.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gillette Humane Society.
