A Celebration of Life service for Donald L. Baker of Moorcroft, Wyoming will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Cook Lake, Wyoming.Don, 62, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of an unexpected illness.His life began on December 25, 1943 when he was born the son of Roy and Eliza Baker in Marysville, California. What a wonderful gift, a Christmas baby. Don was educated in Marysville, California. As a child Don loved his horse, Peanut and his dog, Blondie. He was involved in Church, 4-H and baseball. Don married Betty Sanders on November 28, 1969 in Redding, California. During his life Don worked in retail sales, custom farming, ranching and he was the owner of Baker?s Bowhunter Supply in Burney, California. Don enjoyed many pleasures in his life including: fishing, hunting, camping, working on old cars, motorcycle racing, watching football, auto racing and watching Cliff and Chey rodeo. His favorite pastime was history and exploring old forts. However, Don?s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren: Phebie, Tony and Brody Delfino. He loved watching Brody play ice hockey, Tony play basketball and participate in 4-H shooting sports, and he loved watching Phebie play volleyball and basketball. Don will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Betty Baker of Moorcroft, Wyoming, 2 wonderful children: Charlene (Brian) Delfino, of Moorcroft, Wyoming and Brandon Baker of Washington; 3 spectacular grandchildren: Phebie, Tony and Brody Delfino of Moorcroft, Wyoming. He will also be missed by 1 brother, Floy (Doreen) Baker of Chico, California and 2 sisters: Sandra (Tom) Burgess of Oroville, California and Mary Fasulis of Marysville, California. In-Laws: Cody (Glenn) Zane, Ray (Carolyn) Sanders, Frank (Rose) Sanders and Bob (Janell) Sanders all of Redding, California and Marvin (Donna) Sanders of Burney, California, Dee (Carolyn) Sanders of Weaverville, California. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and good friends.Don was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Eliza Baker, 3 brothers: Roy Lee, Bill and Jack Baker, 1 sister, Delma.
