Cremation will take place and a private memorial service of family and friends will be held at a later date.On April 4, 2006 Larry Keeler of Gillette, Wyoming passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with Leukemia. He was surrounded by his family and went peacefully.Larry was born on January 24, 1940 in Jerome, Idaho to Kenneth and Eva Keeler. The family moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he attended grade school and high school. After graduating Larry joined the Army and served until 1965 when he was honorably discharged. He then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad in Pocatello, Idaho.On August 1, 1969 he was united in marriage with Betty Shell. They lived in Pocatello, Idaho until 1985. He was medically discharged from the railroad and then they moved to Dayton, Wyoming. They lived in Dayton until 1999 and from there moved to Gillette, Wyoming.Larry loved tying flies, hunting, and especially fishing. He learned to bowl a few years ago and was a member of a league at Frontier Lanes. He had two special dogs: Casey Boy and Autumn Rose. Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Keeler of Gillette, Wyoming; three daughters: Lynn Delcamp and husband, Schuyler of Gillette, Wyoming, Bonnie Munden of Twin Falls, Idaho and Lorna Abell and husband, Rob of Gillette, Wyoming. Darlyne Myers of Bancroft, Idaho, Arlyne Koehler and Janet Smith both of Pocatello, Idaho. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. His brother in law and good friend, Larry Josephson of Gillette, Wyoming; lifelong friend, the Honorable Judge Peter D. McDermott of Pocatello, Idaho and brother in law and hunting partner, Frank Horsley Sheridan, Wyoming.He was preceded in death by his parents of Pocatello, Idaho and a sister, Barbara Josephson of Gillette, Wyoming.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Larry?s name to Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com.
