Memorial service for Jean Robinson will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Kenna Lou Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette is entrusted with the arrangements. Laura ?Jean? Eugenia Robinson, age 73, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2006 after a long courageous battle with cancer.Jean Robinson was born on September 22, 1932 the daughter of Plumer and Laura Mae (Corthorn) Whitworth in Lavonia, Georgia. As a young child she moved to California with her family where she was raised. She married Richard Harold Malone in 1953 in Vernal, Utah where she lived until 1968. The couple later divorced. In June of 1968 Jean and her family came to Gillette, Wyoming. Jean married Roscoe Robinson in July of 1968 in Elko, Nevada. Jean worked at various jobs in Gillette, Wyoming, however she is most remembered for her employment with Stockmans Bank and Norwest currently Wells Fargo Bank. Her health forced her to retire in the mid 1990?s. Jean loved cats and her big heart for them was apparent because she left food out and adopted many that did not have a home. She was an avid Bingo player and would drag her grandson?s along as much as time would allow. Jean enjoyed many trips to Deadwood, South Dakota playing the slots. Most often she could be found in front of a Wheel of Fortune Machine.Jean is survived by her son, Jim (Vicki) Malone of Wills Point, Texas; son, Richard ?Rick? Malone II of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Sherrie Malone of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Sue (Shane) Roberts of Gillette, Wyoming; sister, Ginger Harrison of Simpsonville, South Carolina; 7 grandchildren: Michelle Black, Tracie Cross, Jeffrey Wayne McGee, Shane ?Levi? Cole Roberts, Scott Rodney Roberts, Stacie Johnson and Richard Malone III and 8 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Robert Whitworth and one grandson, John Daniel McGee.Memorials are suggested to benefit the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation?s Hospice House.
