Beulah O. (Hux) Tyrrell, age 99, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away of natural causes onSaturday, February 25, 2006 at Avalon Care Center in Othello, WA. She was born October 23, 1906in Hammond, Indiana to E.J. and Sarah (Hook) Hux.The family took up a homestead in Gillette, WY in 1907. The new high school is currentlylocated on a portion of this land. Beulah lived in Gillette for the next 95 years. She moved to BasinCity, WA to live with her son and daughter-in-law in 2002.During her lifetime, she owned and operated Tyrrell's Shady Trailer Court, sold RoyalNeighbors Insurance, and volunteered on election boards. She enjoyed the days she spent at theSenior Citizens Center, as well as the many activities, including Bridge, and all the friendships sheacquired. Her hobbies included China painting and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren.In 1925, she married Lee Tyrrell Sr. in Gillette. They were married for 53 years. Hepreceded her in death in 1978. Also preceding her were her parents; brothers, Dee, Clarence, Dude,Robert and Herbert; and sisters, Flossie, Helen, Ida, Della and Hilda.Survivors include son, Lee "Skip" and his wife, Audrey (Pack); granddaughters, Dalene(Chuck) Clayton, Janie (Chuck) Wigger and Cathy (Mark) Vowels; great-grandchildren, Charl(Doug) Burks, Chanin, Cheana and Chawn Clayton, Kacie (Chris) Myers, Kris, Halie, Nick andKelcie Wigger, Justin (Candice) Vowels, Brooke (Jason) Elberg, Chad and Mathew Vowels; great-great-grandchildren, Riley and Mason Burks, Jordin and Cadin Vowels, Jacob, Loghan and HaydynMyers, Korey and Karcyn Elberg and Jaxen Wigger; brothers, Danny and Norman Hux; and niece,Debbie Clements, whom she was especially close, along with numerous other nieces, nephews andtheir families.Viewing will be Friday, March 3, 2006 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson FuneralHome, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY.Graveside services will be Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery inGillette, Wyoming.
