Elvira Thar

Elvira Christina (Halverson) Thar, age 79, passed away on February 19, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2006 at the Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel at Pioneer Manor with visitation being held an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Rozet Cemetery in Rozet, Wyoming.Elvira was born October 25, 1926 in Rozet, Wyoming to Anna Maria Halverson. Elvira attended school in Rozet, Wyoming. She married Francis J. Thar on June 16, 1963 in Gillette, Wyoming.She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and will be dearly missed by all. We will have you in our hearts forever. Elvira enjoyed the staff and volunteers at the Pioneer Manor. The love and compassion they gave to Elvira and her family will be missed. She also loved to garden and be on the ranch being a ranch hand. Elvira is survived by her husband of 43 years, and numerous nieces and nephews in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, and her mother?s native Sweden.She was preceded in death by her mother, and her sister Marie Trantham. Memorials are suggested to the Pioneer Manor or The Alzheimer?s Association.
