Funeral service for Trudy Larsen will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming, with Pastor Scott Firmanhac officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Larsen, age 46, died at her home in Gillette on January 20, 2006 after a valiant fight against cancer.Trudy Marlene Larsen was born in Kimball, Nebraska on August 31, 1959 to Edward and Norma Riepe.She was raised and educated in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1977.On August 7, 1982 she married Gale Larsen, in Casper. From this union of marriage, Trudy and Gale had 2 sons: Joshua and Joel. Trudy and Gale made their home in Wyoming. In 1989 the family moved to Elko, Nevada. Trudy was a great mom; she devoted her time to her kids by staying home with them. As they got older she worked as a crossing guard and with her boys, had several paper routes. She enjoyed spending all the time she could with them. In 2002 they returned to Gillette. She worked as an aid on the school bus. She loved to help the kids. Trudy has always had a huge heart for those who needed help in life whether it was physically or emotionally. She was always willing to serve. Trudy?s dogs who she affectionately called her ?girls? had a very special place in her heart.She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Trudy had a great love for Thomas Kinkade and it showed through out her home. Trudy is survived by her husband, Gale; and 2 sons: Joshua and Joel, all of Gillette; 1 sister, Nanita Moore of Carson City, Nevada.She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Riepe.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
