It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ardell David Licht, affectionately known as "Art", who took his final breath on April 27, 2024, in Gillette, Wyoming. He was born on October 16, 1935, in Kenneth, Minnesota to Lawrence Licht and Hulda Brinkhouse. Ardell was a dedicated family man and hard worker whose presence will be deeply missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the National Guard before eventually settling into a career in security upon moving to Wyoming in 1979. His diligence and dedication shone brightly in every task he undertook, earning him respect and admiration from all who worked alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Ardell found solace and joy in his hobbies as an avid hunter and fisherman. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature and find peace in the great outdoors, forming memories that will be cherished by his loved ones for years to come.
In the hearts of those Ardell leaves behind, his legacy will continue to thrive. He is survived by his loving wife Judith Licht, children Kem, Julie (John), Bryce, and Shawn (Lisa), as well as his sister Carol. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ardell is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Hulda, and brothers Stanley and Lloyd, in a place of eternal peace. His spirit lives on through the memories shared by family and friends who were touched by his kindness and warm heart.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Ardell's life will be held on May 3, 2024, at Mt Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. The service will commence at 1:00 PM to pay tribute to a life well-lived.
