It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ardith (Ardie) Marilyn Hamm on January 4th at Banner Health, with her granddaughters by her side. Ardie was born on November 6th, 1939, to Bryan and Grace Eby, in Whittier, California. Ardie attended college at PCC in Pasadena, California where she studied art and met Robert (Bob) Hamm. Ardie and Bob were married on Memorial Day weekend 1959. Their marriage blessed them with 4 beautiful children. Eric, David, Robert, and Vincent. In her early years Ardie taught in California. Ardith and Bob lovingly fostered children while they raised their 4 boys together. They moved to Wright, Wyoming in 1984 as Bob pursued a carrier at Black Thunder Coal Mine. While in Wright Ardie served on the board of Wright Community Assistance for 20 years with the Planning and Zoning Committee. She also was with the Cambell County Council of community services for 10 years. Ardie’s family children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy. As well as working within the community Ardie also enjoyed crafting, gourmet cooking, and her passion could be found in her flowers as she was a master gardener. Her peonies were looked after by her as if they were part of her family. Ardie will be remembered as a spitfire with a sense of humor that left everyone around her smiling at her sharp mind and humorous wit. She was always quick to find a silver lining in every situation. She had a strong love for the Christmas season, always treating others to extravagant goods and decor. Ardie spent her final year in Casper, Wyoming with her granddaughter, Jennifer Hamm, who she raised as a daughter. While in Casper she was surrounded with love by her great-grandchildren, Christina (Ash) and Cayda Hamm. Ardie is survived in death by sister, Amelia (Amy) Hollenback, sons: Eric Hamm his wife Teri Hamm, Robert Hamm his wife Michelle Hamm. Grandchildren: Jennifer Hamm, Lea Blakeman, Tyler Hamm, Lindsay Ruff, Bryan Hamm, Travis Hamm, and Catherine Hamm, and numerous great grandchildren. Ardie was proceeded in death by husband: Robert (Bob) Hamm, sons: Vincent and David, sister: Anne, and her parents Bryan and Grace Eby. Ardie impacted the life of every person from the moment she met them. She will be greatly missed by every person that had the privilege to know her. A celebration of the life for both Ardie and her husband Bob will be held Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at the Wright Community Center at 1pm.
