Arlene Mae Roberts

Graveside service for Arlene Roberts will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD with Garrett Freier officiating. Arlene Roberts age 87 of Gillette, WY passed away peacefully on July 8, 2018 at Close to Home Hospice of natural causes. Arlene Mae (LaDuke) Roberts was born on April 13, 1931 to Victor and Mary (Burns) LaDuke in Mandan, ND. Arlene grew up in the Solan and Shields, ND area, and received her education in Solan, ND. Arlene raised her family in Glendive and Baker, MT area. In 1975 Arlene moved to Gillette, WY where she met and married Tom Roberts in 1981, and resided in Gillette until her passing. Arlene loved camping and snowmobiling. She also enjoyed a good slot machine in Deadwood, SD. Arlene spent many hours crocheting.  Arlene is survived by her husband, Tom Roberts of Gillette, WY; son, Gordy (Peggy) Carlson of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Pam (Dennis) Freier of Intake, MT; sister, Deloris Seiler of Mandan, ND; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son, Grady Carlson in 1977; six brothers, and four sisters. Memorials can be made in Arlene’s name to benefit Close to Home Hospice, who provided comforting care for her.
