Betty Joyce Luthe

Betty Luthe, age 75, of Gillette, WY, passed away January 23, 2018 at her home. Betty Joyce Luthe was born the second of seven children on January 28, 1942 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Jewel and Laura (Mewborn) Pilgreen. Betty moved to Gillette from Fort Worth, TX in 1967 with her then husband Bobby Collins and her two young children. She married Robert (Bob) Luthe July 26, 1974 and they enjoyed horse racing, fishing and many trips to Deadwood together. She loved working crossword and sudoku puzzles every day, but enjoyed cryptograms most. Everyone who met her enjoyed her fiery spirit and spunk. Betty is survived by her daughter Sharon Higginbottom Brummit of Indianapolis, IN; son, Johnny (Noreene) Collins of Gillette, WY; brothers Bobby Pilgreen of Texarkana, TX, Timmy Pilgreen of Texarkana, AR, and John (Sandra) Pilgreen of Atlanta, TX; granddaughters, Jessica (David Briggs) Collins and Kylee Collins and great-grandchildren, Adison Collins, Jaxton Collins, and Taylin Briggs as well as many nephews, nieces and other family and friends across the country. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Judy Anvik, and brothers, Jimmy Pilgreen and Gerald Pilgreen. At Betty’s request, no services will be held.
