Brent Evans Long passed away on January 16, 2024, in Gillette, Wyoming of COPD. He was born November 23, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Kenneth Dean Long and Gwen Carlen Long. He attended schools in Springville, Utah and Washington state. In his youth he enjoyed basketball, football and motor cross racing. Brent loved the outdoors where he spent time hunting, fishing, rock and ice climbing, hiking, camping, and even spent time panning for gold. He enjoyed horseback riding and loved his horse named “Snake!” He had a variety of jobs in his life which included milking cows, working in a bakery, cleaning houses, and as a janitor for the US Post Office. He worked as a carpet layer most of his life and ended his working days at Walmart. We want to give a special thanks to his friend Tom Godfrey for helping him and his kind care. He was a great friend. Brent was preceded in death by both his parents, and grandparents Casper Evans and Eugena McDonald Carlen, and Michael and Emma Noakes Long. He is survived by his siblings, Katherine (Rick) Johnson, Laura (Rick) Hall, Kevin, and Steven, who will rely on wonderful memories of Brent until we see him again.
