Cheryl Ann Pruitt

Cheryl Dobson Pruitt, 53, of Gillette, WY, passed away July 9, 2023, from a stroke. Cheryl was born in Gillette, on June 5, 1970, to Jim and Jan Dobson. She graduated in 1988 from Moorcroft High School. After graduation, Cheryl attended beauty school in Gillette, where she went on to celebrate a rewarding career as a beautician for over 30 years. Her greatest achievement was opening her Salon, Beauty by Cheryl. She had a special connection with her older clientele and really enjoyed helping others celebrate their special occasions by creating the perfect updos.

Cheryl was a vibrant soul who was extremely kind and caring to those whom she felt were in need. She loved supporting veterans and those with various medical conditions. Cheryl had a strong desire to help cancer patients feel beautiful throughout their disease. She enjoyed family and friends' get-togethers. Cheryl loved the color orange, her flower gardens, music, and her cats and dogs. She enjoyed climbing, rafting, traveling, cooking and baking, and creating updos at the Celtic Festivals. Cheryl had a very creative mind, and her favorite hobby was crocheting intricate doilies, small and large. Cheryl loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, and aunts. She is survived by her loving mom Jan and her three siblings, James (Amanda) Dobson, Angie (Cody) Reynolds, Pat Dobson, and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and Beauty by Cheryl clientele.
