Memorial services for Christine Maye (Willows) Byers will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Pisqah Chapel/Reception Hall. Chris passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home in Gillette, WY. She was born February 25, 1966 in Westminster, California to Wesley and Georgette (Grant) Willows. The family resided in Strathmore, California before moving to Gillette, Wyoming in September 1977. She graduated from Campbell County High school in 1984. After graduation, Chris moved to Ketchum, Idaho. She lived there for five years before returning to Gillette. In 1991 she went to work for Campbell County Memorial Hospital. She received her EMT Certification and furthered her education to obtain her registry in Respiratory Therapy. She also received an Associate’s Degree and registry in Polysomnography (sleep study). She assisted with the opening of the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Sleep Lab. On August 6, 1996, she married Charles Byers. They lived in Gillette. Chris loved to garden, watch movies, cook, watch the children play sports, and spend time with her family. Due to on-the-job injuries, she had to leave her medical career in 2005. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Kourtnei; son, Noah; step daughter, Jijette Wood; mother, Georgette; all of Gillette, Wyoming; brother, Thomas, California; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
