Funeral service for Cody Sams-Lazzaretti will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dan Holden officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. The Family is requesting that all who are attending services wear something red in memory of Cody. Red was his favorite color.
Cody Courtland Sams-Lazzaretti, 21, went to our Lord in Heaven surrounded by his family on May 10, 2018 after sustaining traumatic injuries in a car accident.
Cody was born on October 4, 1996 in Gillette, WY to Jake Gasper and Heather Martin-Lazzaretti. Cody was a ray of sunshine since the day he entered this world to the day Heaven received a new angel.
August 7, 1998 Cody's brother Nathanial "Nat" and best friend and partner in crime was born. Cody attended elementary school in Rozet, WY, Junior High at Twin Spruce and attended Campbell County High School, where he also took college classes for Diesel Mechanics. Cody enjoyed working on cars, welding, wood working, basically anything outside and was very creative with his hands. Cody had love for his family and was ready and willing to bring happiness to everyone. Cody was a friend to everyone who he met and accepted everyone. Cody's heart was made of gold and he was always willing to help his family, friends and the community in all the surrounding area.
Cody leaves this earth to carry his memory parents, Shawn and Heather (Martin) Lazzaretti; Jake Gasper; and Lloyd Sams; brothers, Nathaniel Sams; Tylor Lazzaretti; Logan Wambeke; and Tannor Lazzaretti; sisters, Kaitie Wambeke (Sam); Tashawna Lazzaretti; and Trinidy Lazzaretti; and one spoiled niece, Paislee Wambeke; grandparents, Roxann Wrenn; Dave Lazzaretti; Eloise Sams; Edward and DeVonna Gasper; and Star Brown. Along with countless cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends. Cody joins in Heaven grandfathers, Bill Sams; Enos Wrenn; grandmother, Billie Lazzaretti; and great-grandparents, Nathaniel and Pauline Donaldson.
A Memorial has been established in Cody's name at American National Bank in Gillette Wyoming. This memorial is to help other in the community with Special needs.
