Celebration of life for Colten Thayne will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marty Crump officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Mt. Trumbull Cemetery in Majave County, AZ. Colten Thayne 27, of Gillette, WY passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. Colten was born in St. George, UT on October 28, 1989 to Jay and Janice (Cook) Thayne. Colten graduated from Wright High School in Wright, WY. He worked for Arch Coal at Coal Creek Mine at the time of his passing. Colten was very active and enjoyed snowboarding, racing dirt bikes and wakeboarding. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved hunting with his dog. He loved his family and especially loved to share his hobbies with his nieces and nephews, and all his honorary nieces and nephews. Colten was adventurous, loved to travel and always willing to try new things. He had a mischievous smile that would melt your heart. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him. Colten is survived by his parents, Jay and Janice Thayne of Wright, WY; sisters, Rici (Jessi) Auger and Brooke Thayne; nieces and nephews, Ryder, Cruz and Piper Auger and Willowbee Riley and grandparents, Ernell and Devora (Snyder) Thayne of Virgin Utah. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Lynn and Gretta (Homer) Cook of LaVerkin, UT.
