A family gathering to remember Cora Juanita Ellis will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Juanita Ellis age 88, passed away at Close to Home Hospice, Friday, December 28, 2018 of natural causes. She was born October 5, 1930 to Barney and Maudie Davis in Jackson County, Arkansas. She met Carl Porter and they had one daughter in 1950. She married Ernest Ellis in 1952. Juanita worked as a nurse assistant in Pinedale Nursing Home in New Port, Arkansas for 24 years. She retired and moved to be with her daughter in Rozet, Wyoming after the passing of her husband. Juanita worked for the Senior Center in Gillette and then retired. She enjoyed her family, friends, grandkids, gardening, and anything outdoors. She was the most amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to all where were blessed to have known her. She is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her brother, Scotty Crucher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Edith Mercer of Rozet, WY; Jetta Hurst of Mountain Home, Arkansas; six grandkids; 14 great-grandkids; and 16 great-great-grandkids.
