Daniel Dee Scoggin was born on August 29, 1956 to Harry and Edna (Youngberg) Scoggin in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Dan was the youngest, joining twin brothers Larry and Gary and sister Susan on the Family Ranch Northwest of Hulett, Wyoming. Dan Attended school in Belle Fourche, Hulett, Government Canyon, graduated from High School in Belle Fourche and went on to mechanics school in Billings. He worked in many states from California to the Canadian border during his career both as employee and then Contractor. Known to many as Wildcat Dan because his company was Wildcat Industrial Services and to some as” Doctor Dan Heavy Equipment Man” (cause if he can't fix it nobody can) which had to be true since he had beer huggies that said so! He had a knack that he could diagnose problems with Heavy Equipment over the phone and how to fix them. You know who you are that relied on that phone call over the years and please know that he considered you a friend if he did it for you. He picked on everyone and gave most co-workers nick names. Dan cherished the memories of the people he met and the adventures they shared in the construction industry when he was no longer able to do the work. Dan was married to Deborah Beasley for a short time in the mid 80's but it ended in divorce. Halloween weekend1989, he started his life with Nichol Lena Hall and they were partners in business and life until his death. With no children of his own, he welcomed her daughter Tella and soon to follow the grandchildren with open arms. He loved being Grandpa to Cory, Curtis & Cortney and along came Great Grandson Tyler! Dan passed at age 65 on August 4th, 2022, comfortably at home, with grace and dignity. He was surrounded by his loving family, will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edna Scoggin, Brothers Larry and Gary Scoggin. Dan is survived by His Sister Susan (Jim) Jones of Newcastle, WY; Partner of 33 years, Nichol Lena Hall, and her daughter Tella (Keith) Moore and Grandchildren Cory, Curtis and Cortney Moore, Great grandson Tyler Gray, all of Gillette; Nephew Rett(Abbra) Scoggin, and children, Jaylea and Chett; Nephew Josh (Lyndee)Jones and children, Ryler and Keyla of Tucson, Arizona; as well as niece, MaryJo Curtis.
