Edmund Leon Ogle

Edmund Leon Ogle went home to Jesus on December 27, 2023, at age 85. Throughout his entire life, Edmund held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a happy-go-lucky guy who loved life. Edmund treated everyone the way he wished to be treated and was well-liked. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Edmund (Ed) was born to Herbert and Ethel (Stokes) Ogle on April 15, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas. As a child, Ed enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle, going fishing and swimming, and getting to school by boat. Ed met his wife, Amelia Muffett (Amy), in 1961, when introduced by Ed’s mom in Sunnyvale, CA. They married May 19, 1962, and together had five children: Cynthia, Sandra, Kathleen, Holly, and Patricia. Ed loved his country, and proudly served in the United States Navy from April 1955 - May 1963, as a Naval Airman. Ed always worked hard to provide for his family. Being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Ed enjoyed many things with his family including nature, camping, fishing, and boating. Ed also loved playing dominos, checkers, and cards, watching old war movies, and tinkering on the cars. He spent many hours pursuing his love of HAM and CB Radio which provided him the opportunity to converse with people all around the world, and he enjoyed listening to Chet Atkins music and playing guitar. In his younger years, Ed enjoyed classic cars, and was proud to have won many sanctioned drag races in his 1955 Plymouth Fury. Ed loved his dogs, especially his beloved, Pomeranian companion, Cracker. And one of his greatest joys was dancing with his wife throughout their years. Ed joins his father, mother, and his stepfather, Fred Goodman, in Heaven. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy; Children: Cynthia Thornberry (Roger); Sandra Nicholson (Scott); Kathleen McQuarrie; Holly Clark; Patricia Laes (Steve); Rodney Cooper and Rebecca Bobrow (children from a first marriage); his adored Grandchildren: Chad Thornberry (Dawna), Sara Thornberry Prather (Nic); Steven Nicholson, William Nicholson, Mary Nicholson; Melissa Gernant McIntosh, Christopher Gernant, Angela McQuarrie; Tabbytha Hallcroft Russell (Eric), Tryssta Hallcroft Jones (Tyler), Chelsey Rea; Justin Vail (Hanna); his precious Great grandchildren: Jason Thornberry, Scarlett Thornberry, Emery Prather, Kennedy Prather; Elizabeth Baldwin (Sam), Allison McIntosh, Andrew McIntosh, Denise Gernant, Cady Gernant, Anastazia Gernant, Victoria McQuarrie, Amelia McQuarrie; Nathan Russell, Tripp Russell, Tayslee Jones, Tynslee Jones, Trynitee Jones, Tybbee Jones, Tovee Jones; Israel Clark, Alijah Paul; Khade Vail, Jaxson Vail, Jayden Vail; his treasured Great-great Grandchildren: Elm Baldwin, and Phoenix Gernant; a beloved sister-in-law, Ida Caudle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
